The devil is real, is active, and is vicious.
We need not fall into Christo-animistic ritualism, fear, or the addressing of any spirits.
We rely on prayer, addressed to God, and in the normal means of grace.

Very interesting! I remember when I read the section about the angels not rebuking Satan but they said, "The Lord rebuke you!" Many teach that we are supposed to address these spirits and I remember thinking, if a powerful angel will not rebuke him, why would I think I should? I prefer that by prayer and supplication we are to make our petitions to God and He will deal with all of our enemies, then He receives the glory!
